Welcome to the IEEE Student Branch Lugano
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the largest professional organization of electrical engineers. IEEE provides engineers with community, news, IEEE Xplore, career opportunities, job leads, and networking with 2,600+ IEEE members, mentoring, discounted tuition, and many, many other services.
In order to form a more perfect union, we students of all grades form to network, exchange career resources, and have fun! as only engineers of an IEEE student branch can.
The official IEEE Student Branch of Lugano has been established in 2008 by IEEE student members of the University of Lugano (Università della Svizzera italiana, USI) , Switzerland.
It is Switzerland's second student branch (following ETH Zürich Student Branch).
Goals: Providing information / networking, being an IEEE contact for students, and study assistance (when possible).
Activities: Informal meetings and talks including snacks, company visits, student paper contests.
